Well, according to the fellow from the UN Mine action Office whom I helped break into his car this evening (long story), this is a Russian OZM bounding mine...

Now, according to the same fellow one can expect to have one run in with a mine during the average one year mission in this part of South Sudan - and as far as these things go my encounter was quite benign.
